Hi Shari =) When I had my gallbladder surgery, the DR put elastic bands
around my legs while I slept. These bands contract to squeeze the legs
while you sleep, so the chances of bloodclots are less. If you discuss your
concerns with your DR, he can give you options to help take precautions to
protect you from bloodclots. I wish you well. =)

Hi! I also had special stockings that are tight that help circulation, as
well as compression leggings (they go on when you are lying in bed and
squeeze your legs every couple seconds- distracting the first night, then I
forgot they were there). Just make sure you do your walking and you should
be fine. Best of luck!

Hi! when I had my surgery I had the stockings and this air pump thing the
would pump up then go back down every so often. The only bad thing about it
was everytime I had to go Potty I had to call the nurse because I was
hooked up. I was peeing about every 10 min the first two days due to so
much iv going through me. I think if you talk to your doctor you will be
more at ease.
Also sometimes the nurses will wake you up and make you walk.

HI! I also had the tight stockings and the pump on the legs to prevent
blood clots. Also I received blood thinning shots to help prevent them. I
think everything will be fine. Best Wishes
