Question:
Is anyone a chef in a restaurant?

My husband and his brother own a restaurant. Chris is still in the hospital with post-op complications. Is anyone else a chef? Was going back to work difficult? Not only the food part, but the physical healing part. Since it is a family owned restaurant (Supper Club) that serves a pretty good volume of people, and the owners do the cooking - he is badly needed at work. The complications he is having has made his plans to return to work more difficult for everyone. I can't imagine him behind the line anytime soon considering he has 3 drains in. I can help him out at lunches, and he can pretty well just sit and surpervise. Can anyone offer input? We are not in an area where temporary chef's are an option. Any input???? What area are you in ? My husband is an executive chef and is looking for a partime job. He is currently the director of food and beverage at a private academy where we live but wants to get back into cooking. He was the corp. chef for a very upscale palce back home prior to moving to where we are now and he misses it.
