Question:
Has anyone tried the Carbolite candy bars?
Hi, I saw Carbolite chocolate bars advertised in the Walgreens ad this Sunday, and was wondering if they are any good. It's says they are low fat, low cal, and have no carbs, made with Splenda. They are on sale, for 1.25 each, Anyone dump on these?. I would kill for some chocolate haha!! Any opinions? Thanks!! — Carey N. (posted on March 4, 2002)

oh yes, i have had carbolite!! they are awesome! my husband and i both love
them, and what a great price, i found them at a local health food store for
2.49 each, thats the big bar, they do have smaller ones for 1.50. they
arent high in fat , and are practically carb free, and of course they are
sugar free!

The Carbolite bars are delicious. You can order them online---at
www.carbolitedirect.com or you can get a case of them (24 bars---6 ea milk
chocolate, chocolate crisp, chocolate almond and chocolate peanutbutter)
from Costco for ~$29.
FYI---the white chocolate crisp and white chocolate almond (ordered from
the website) are to die for.
On the downside however, while they are sugar-free and extremely
low-carb---they are essentially *wasted* calories---and they are quite
addictive.

Carbolite bars from Walgreens are DE-LISH! I was someone who loved Reeses
PB Cups in my past life, and found the chocolate peanut butter Carbolite
bar was a good substitute. They are not calorie-free of course, but take
one square at a time, and let it melt in your mouth. You will not miss the
sugar or carbs--promise!

if i'm not remembering incorrectly, carbolite chocolate bars do have
sucralose, but ALSO have some sugar alcohols. check the ingredients list -
too many sugar alcohols can cause gas &/or diarrhea!
