i had open ryn distal i was wondering how much calories and fats we don't absorb?

HOW distal? That's the question. What Dr A calls distal is still proximal
to Dr B. How many inches or cm of common channel do you have? That will be
a good indicator of how much or little you absorb. If you have had RNY,
you will malabsorb AT LEAST: protein, iron, calcium, A,D, E, zinc & B12
to some degree and need to supplement these particular elements. The
amount of supplementation will depend on your common channel length.
