Medicaid - ever paid for excess skin removal and if so what were the circumstance

I can't say about Medicaid, but most insurance won't cover this, unless the
excess skin is causing other health problems. If you get skin rashes or
infections, have back problems because of it, or something similar, they
are more likely to pay.

I live in NC and on medicaid and yes they will pay for a panni but not the
abniopasty (SP?). You have to prove medical necessity though. Rashes,
infections, hygiene problems, that sort of thing.
