Question:
Why does my BMI change from day to day?
My home scale shows your weight and BMI, but there are times that my BMI is 33% and other times 41%. It stays at the higher level more. My height is 5'5, I now weight 202. What is the deal with this? — LaVerne C. (posted on January 18, 2002)

Your scale is not calculating your BMI. The % it is giving is your Body Fat
Percentage which is completly different. The reason that it can change day
to day depends on the time you weigh yourself, how much fluid you are
retaining etc. I would select a time of the month that you are not
retaining water and weigh yourself then (make sure to do it in the
morning). Good Luck
