Question:
Has anyone not been able to provide five years medical history requested?

I have had one PCP move to Washington state, one retire and have left one because of his complete incompetence. Five years of medical history has taken me precious months already and I have made no progress! Can you help?    — Eli C. (posted on November 16, 2001)

Hi Carroll, I did not have a 5 year history with my PCP. If fact, on my VERY FIRST visit with him I asked for a referall to my surgeon. He gave it to me and less than 2 months later I had my surgery. The only consistent history I had with a Dr was with my OB/GYN. She has delivered my last 3 babies. I had been with her office for about 6 years. She wrote me a great letter of support. Anyways, my point is, I had never even seen this PCP before and I had no problems at all getting approved. My starting BMI was 35 with Aetna being my insurance. I am now 4 weeks post op and have lost 25 pounds. Good luck!!!!!!!!
