I had trouble the first week or so after surgery and my blood sugar went
really low. I got weak, shaky and very disoriented. My husband
recongnized the symptoms and called my surgeon's assistant. She had
similar problems after her surgery and told me to drink 2-3 ounces of
orange juice. She said it had the natural sugar in it, but that was not
enough to cause you to dump. Good Luck!

Yes i had some pretty bad problems with it at about two or three weeks post
op. Basically i ended up many times a night sipping on juice and sometimes
even had to such on a hard candy. After about two weeks of struggling with
it, they went back to normal again and i haven't had any problems since.

I had the same problem after surgery until I started on actually eating
solid foods. Since then it has been good.

YES!!! It has been crazy trying to figure out my sugar.I was a Type2
Diabetic before surgery (7-12-01) but since my surgery I have been off my
meds. I have trouble keeping my sugar up now it stays at about 50 to 80 on
good days but gets as low as 19 on bad days. The trick now is to eat enough
to sustain a good sugar level and to eat things I was not to eat before
like breads, pastas, etc..
