Question:
I was wondering if this was normal or has anyone else experienced this?

I am 1 month post-op, open RNY. I have noticed I go like 3-4 days without bowels moving, then the next day I start with severe cramping and diarrhea all day long.It also goes along with having headaches at times, extreme weakness, and bouts of nausea. The day after I will be okay. This has happened to me like 3 times now. (I'm currently on the soft diet, if that makes a difference) I would be interested in some feedback on this. Normal for many - not all :>) It 90% of the time (or higher) gets better with each month further out as your plumbing adapts to the new set-up. Hang tough!
