Hummus is made from chick peas which are a legume and roughly 14g of protein for 1/4 c. I can eat it without a problem, however I use flat bread to dip it in and don't eat much of the bread. Baked kibbee is my favorite and goes down very well for me, it's also made from chick peas. The only problem would be falafel, becuase they're fried. I had a not so pleasant expereince after taking 3 bites of one recently. As for baba ganoosh it's made from egg plant and I beleive the protein count is low, but I like it and it doesn't upset my new tummy one bit. Happy & healthy eating!!!!!!!!!!!! My nutrionist recommended hummus during my pureed stage and told me I could eat on crackers. Falafel is also made out of chick-peas and should provide substantail protein. (Yes, baked is better.) I'm not sure about the protein amount in baba-ganoujh. This is basically egg-plant. It might have some protein though. Best of luck!

Once your past the puree and soft stage, any dish that has meat/poultry in it is high protein. Middle Eastern restaurants have lots of great meat dishes such as tandoori and kabobs.
