Question:
Any post-ops out there notice extreme nausea during rapid weight loss?

I am 11 mo.out and recently quit losing. I started back on protein replacement 6 days ago and have noticed a trend begin again. When I am taking lots of protein and losing weight quickly I become very nauseous and cannot eat very much at all. Has anyone else had this? It is probably a metabolic reaction due to ketosis but I just wondered if anyone out there in WLS land was having the same problem. Thanks in advance for any support.    — Aimee P. I have the same problem. If I limit my intake to only protein I feel very nauseous. If I add in a little bit of veggies, like broccoli,or green beans,or some fruit,I am fine. I think you are right it is connected to the ketosis.

Hi, I am 3mos post-op and all I eat is protein, about 60-90g per day...I am never nauseous. So, I think I killed your theory...I think nausea is an individual thing. Sorry!
