Question:
Where can I find ferrous fumerate plus C?
I have been told by the dietition at the surgeon's office that I need to take ferrous fumerate plus C -- 200 mg daily. I am having a difficult time finding it. Are there any websites for this supplement? — Dianne K. (posted on November 16, 2001)

Hi Diane! If I'm not mistaken, what you are referring to is an iron
supplement with Vitamin C added. You might try a GNC or possibly Walmart
who has huge amounts of vitamins. Hope that helps.

I too have been told that I need these supplements. However, my Doctor
tole me to take ferrous sulfate (375 mg. 4x daily) and then just get the
chewable vitamin C tablets. I had a hard time finding the ferrous sulfate
in that large of a quantity, however, there is one kind that does make it.
I don't remember the name, but I got mine at Rite Aid, and I just asked the
Pharmacist about it, and she showed me where it was. Also, my Doctor said
that you I only needed 125 mg. (500 mg. pill split 2x) of the chewable
vitamin C for every 375 mg. of iron. I hope this helps!
