Question:
Can someone please explain what a C-Pap machine is and how it works?
I am scheduled to take another sleep test and to be fitted for a C-Pap machine. I would like to know what it is and how it works. — Dianne K. (posted on October 29, 2001)

CPAP stands for Continious Positive Air Pressure. You'll
get a machine that will push air in through a hose to a
mask you wear when you sleep. It sounds bizarre, but I've
had one for 9 years. It saved my life - I was always tired
and cranky and had a sore throat and heartburn.
