Dr Williams and Dr Colella have taken over Dr. Zemel's patients since he
has retired. Dr Colella did my panniculectomy and I think he did an
excellent job. He has a very nice bedside manner and is willing to take the
time to answer all your questions without rushing you. My only experience
with Dr Williams is that he is the one who removed my staples after my
panniculectomy. He seems to be pretty good also. The office staff,
especially Brenda, is very helpful and professional. They handled all the
insurance issues. Please feel free to e-mail me if you have more
questions. Good luck and God Bless.

janice: i have first hand info on dr. colella, a while back i was in a
near fatal car accident. my right hip was destroyed, the first attemps at
repairing my hip didn't work, i spent many months in a bed, i had fought a
weight problem most of my adult life, but during this time i gained 150#,
no exercize, i could barely walk. when i went to another hip surgeon for a
hip transplant he said my life would be in danger since my weight had
swelled from 275# to 425#. he feared my lungs,, heart would give out,
feared infection, clots. he brought up the r.n.y. banded by-pass. i said no
at first. then came home and found this great web- site. in days of surfing
i couldn't find one bad thing about the operation. all i read was the lives
it changed. we looked for a dr. most had a waiting list of nearly a year.
we got in right away for my first visit. i explained that i had to have the
operation as soon as possible and why. he fast tracked me, on 11-2-01 he
did the operation, my first visit 3 weeks out i had dropped to 388# my
second visit 6 weeks out i dropped to 350#.. it is amazing. and the hip
surgeon is talking about moving my feb. surgery to early jan.. dr, colella
is a friendly, approachable, and every person on that hospital staff
whispered to me, "he's the best".. and his staff is also great,
brenda is wonderful. once i had a problem, called them and saw him that
day. all you can ask from a doctor. i put my life in dr, colella's hands,
and he gave me a chance to get my life back much faster than i ever
expected, i have also been in mercy, presby, and now a.g.h. i was treated
the best in a/g/h. i hope i have helped you in some way. but you have the
right doctor believe me.. bruce
