Question:
Does anyone know if BTC in Michigan does lap rny, or only open rny.

I haven't had a second consult yet, but I have been told that the Michigan BTC only does OPEN rny, and doesn't offer lap rny. Has anyone out there had a LAP ryn at the BTC in Ypsilanti, Michigan?    — scottiemaam O. (posted on July 2, 2001)

Hi, I had surgery at BTC in Michigan just over 4 months ago. I had open RNY, but I do know that there is one Doctor, Dr. Lane, he does lap. Hope this helps, and good luck, your worth it!

Anne, Dr. Lane is trained in lap RNY and has extensive experience, but the BTC's hospital facility is still being remodeled to accomodate a lap operating room. It's been delayed several times because of construction, and they are still not giving any definite dates for when lap procedures will begin.
