Question:
What dictates what can "pass through" and what stays in your stomach?
Hi. What dictates what can "pass through" and what stays in your stomach? I understand water just passes through (which explains why I can drink much more than I thought I could). But what about soup, protein drinks or other foods that "melt-in-your-mouth"? I had a lap RNY on 06-20-01. I am eating pureed tuna salad and soft eggs, in addition to my liquids. TIA — Peter S. consistency - watery liquids run through, pureed tuna does not --
consistencies in between vary as to speed of exit.
