Question:
I am now 8 weeks post op RNY and I continue to have difficulty eating.
I take very small bites and chew it to death. After eating maybe 3-4 bites, I then vomit within 15-20 minutes. I feel that with all that chewing it's creating too much mucus, the mucus doesn't sit well and then there's no place else for it to go but up. Things you'd never expect to sit well do, and things that should do well are out of there. HELP. I beginning to have a food aversion. I'm almost afraid to eat. — Carol B. (posted on March 16, 2001)

Sounds like your stoma has narrowed. I had the same thing - read my
profile for the story. An simple endoscopic dilation will cure you. Don't
suffer needlessly, call your surgeon and tell him what's happening.
Good luck.
