Question:
If you work out at the gym will you have less saggy skin?

I started out with a BMI of 55, am 41 years old, and work out at home and I seem to have relatively good luck with skin. I have sagging skin, trust me, but I don't think it is enough for plastic surgery. I am going to give myself another year since I just had hernia surgery, and see what I look like then. I also use lotions alot and vitamins to try and help.

Walking is an excellent exercise for saggy thighs.

It depends on your age, how much weight you lose and how quickly, how faithful you are to exercise and toning, and your body shape (apple vs. pear). I am young and have lost 143 lbs in 10 months. I exercise regularly 3-5 times weekly, but my excess skin is not going away and is now causing me all sorts of problems - back pain, rashes, painful boils, skin tags, foul odors in the folds, just to name a few. Exercise will get rid of fat, strength training will tone, but nothing will get rid of the extra skin. I'm going for my first plastic surgery consults this week. I would never trade the weight and health problems I have lost for the excess skin with back pain and irritation I am experiencing now; however, I would prefer to be healthy and have a normal appearance. Best wishes to you.
