my doctor said he didn't like the epiderol because it is hard
to get your bowels moving again. i did not have one and did
just fine.

When my surgeon first told me that I would have an epidural, I was a little
stressed. I thought sure a morphine pump was the answer for me. I have to
say, though, that the epidural was extremely effective pain relief. It was
mild enough that I could walk, yet it kept my pain to a minimum. And it
didn't mess with my bowel function at all, personally. I was very happy
with my epidural.
