Both my gynecologist and my surgeon had the same answer (many years apart):
"If it hurts, don't do it...if not, enjoy!" The RNY is not the
issue...whether your surgery is "open" or lap will more likely
determine how soon you can resume sexual activity in a traditional
"missionary" position...but there's a lot to be said for
creativity or just plain "cuddling" :-) Good luck!

It really depends a little on the type of surgery you had and a LOT on how
you feel. My husband & I waited about 2 weeks, and then tried to be
"creative" so we wouldn't injure anything. I had Lap RNY, so I
had much smaller incisions which healed up fairly quickly. Just listen to
your body. It's like anything else, if you feel up to it, you can try and
see if you can tolerate the activity.

Hi, the first time for me after surgery, I was 9 days post-op and it did
hurt a little. Then last night at 14 days post-op it wasn't to bad. It's
getting easier, but there is nothing wrong with cuddling till you feel
ready don't be pressured go at your own pace and not what anyone else has
done sooner.
