Question:
What companies do those of you with Aetna work for?
Do any of you with Aetna insurance work for a national company? I would love to try and get a job in Utah so I could be covered in the future for this surgery. — Angela B. (posted on February 5, 2001)

I work for Cap Gemini Ernst & Young and our choices were Aetna and
Cigna, both PPO or Blue Cross Blue Shield HMO. I have Aetna and was
approved in 2 days with no comorbidities (had to have a BMI of 40+) Mine
is 42.3

are both national employers with Aetna

I work for WorldCom and I have Aetna POS and I was approved in less than a
week. With POS, they only cover 80%, but at least the out of pocket
maximum annually is $1,000. Good luck.

Hi. I work for Prudential & have Aetna HMO. I have not yet applied
for approval yet, but everyone I have talked to that has this insurance
said they were VERY easy to deal with! Good Luck!

My hubby is at International Paper in Georgia. I haven't been for the first
visit at the surgeon's yet, so I'm unsure that Aetna HMO is going to pay.
Hoping though!

through Depot who have requested and was approved for surgery. Good Luck!

I work for a private law firm that is in the process of switching to Aetna.
We had the choice of going with the HMO or PPO, so I called Aetna's
Customer Service and she indicated that they cover the surgery as long as
it is "medically necessary". Good Luck!

I work for TeleTech Holdings which is a customer service provider for
companies. We have Aetna HMO and Cigna which both have approved more than
4 cases of the surgery in my calling center alone. Good Luck

I work for UPS. If you are union, you have Aetna PPo. Hope this helps
someone, even if this is after the fact.
