Someone asked me if this procedure can ever be reversed? Personally, I can't see why anyone would want to have it reversered, but I promised to ask the question anyway!    — Karen S. (posted on January 13, 2001)

My daughter and I have had lap RNY surgery. Our surgeon is one of the leading specialists in this field. He states that the surgery is completely reversible, but that statistically only 1% of patients ever require reversal due to excessive weight loss.

You didn't say WHICH procedure. A VBG or AGB can be reversed. RNY can be changed back almost to normalcy. But like everyone else, I cannot imagine why you'd want to do that!
