Question:
Was wondering if anyone out there can answer this for me. ?

I live in Quebec City and have been told that to have WLS surgery i could have to wait possibly three years. Was wondering if I could go elsewhere either in Canada or US to have this surgery. In Canada we are fortunate that medicare pays for this surgery. If I went elsewhere would they cover it also? Hoping that someone will be able to help me out. Also can anyone tell the name of some of the surgeons that do the BPD/DS? That is the one I am mostly interested in. Thanks.    — Luanne K. (posted on October 26, 2000)
