Question:
Has anyone had surgery by dr. harold s. engler, augusta, ga. with complications?

I have heard about Dr.Engler cough.....cough......choke .....its wasnt anything good that i heard !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please keep looking for another doctor !!!!! email me if you would like to know who i used , he was great !!!!!

To answer your question, I had a Lap RNY on 08/31/02 by Dr Engler and Dr Crist at St Josephs Hospital! I have never been treated so well in all my life! I am now 2 weeks post - op and doing great! I would use Dr Engler again tommorrow!

This is probably not what you were asking but I had Dr Engler for bypass (2/20/01) and dr Hill and Engler for skin removal (3/28/03). I was very pleased with both surgeries. I have heard some people that have had bad experiences with Dr Engler, but I think that statistically the patients with bad experiences are about the same for all doctors. Dr Engler is the most experienced doctor in this area. I understand is no longer doing the bypass surgeries but is still being used as a consultant by the other doctors in his office. Not sure, but I find the staff and doctors at St Joseph and in this office to be the best I've ever encountered (I've had other surgeries) and I hope I never have to trust myself in anyone else's hands.
