Question:
I am looking for a doctor who uses Providence Hospital in Portland, Oregon.

My insurance company is CIGNA with Providence as the Hospital. I know my PCP and my regular surgeon (carpel tunnel & gall bladder) will sign most anything to get the surgery for me. BUT... so far they have suggested a doctor at University of Washington in Seattle. I would like to have a doctor closer to home. I had my surgery done at Providence Hospital with Dr Eric Friedman as the surgeon. He is a surgical oncologist that does these wls because he believes in the need for them. He is partners with Dr Wood (who talked him into doing these). They are at 5050 Hoyt, Suite 317 Portland, just east of the hospital. Also, there are staff at Providence that have had the wls too, so you get a lot of support there. Dr. Friedman is at 239-0092. Good luck!
