Question:
No bowel movement since hospital discharge

I was given a suppository to help my bowels move before I was released from the hospital on 5/4/00. I have not had a movement since and it is now 5/7/00. Should I be concerned?    — dkkelder (posted on May 7, 2000)

I also didn't have a BM for 5 days or so, however, remember you're not eating solids right now and eating very little.. I was concerned also but doc said was normal, although I should have one by 4th or 5th day, if not call him back..I did finally!!! No problems.. ;-) I now eat 5 prunes every morning with breakfast.. keeps me regular and soft.. For more info please visit my profile page... Some great links and information.. ;-)
