Question:
Is there a way a doctor is rated by actual surgical outcomes rather than just
patients saying "my doc was great" or "not so great". Reputation is important of course, but I'd like to get some real data about specific docs. — joroclo (posted on November 2, 1999)

Yes there are ways to find out about your doctor. Every doctors state
license has complaints or judgements that have been brought against
them<if there are any>. There is a link on the site after you hit
your state for surgeon information and there is a link that will take you
to your states health care workers to get the information. When I went to
mine, I just typed in the Doctors name and county and it did a search for
any and all information. Debi
