Debbie, I think I talked to you today in the Chat Room about your appt. today with your PCP to ask for a referral. I hope that it went well for you. I would love to hear an update on this from you. My PCP agreed to look at the info I gave him about obesity and WLS but he wants me to try Wellbutrin first. Bummer. I'm not happy about having to take an anti-depressant. Has anybody else been on this? I will try again next month.

I have been on Wellbutrin, for both depression and as a weight-control tool. It suppressed my appetite for about a week, but I never lost any weight. After being on it three weeks I had a panic attack, a common side effect. My dr. discontinued it. Good luck!
