Question:
Qualification for Revision

What is a revision and how is one elgible for it. Can you get a revision because you not reach your ideal weight or is it because the surgery failed. (this is not for myself).    — Anna M. (posted on August 10, 2005)

It depends on: which doc you are asking? what was the original surgery (some have bad enough track records to qualify)? what was the expecation of the original surgery? what has been the program? which ins the person has? I was revised at 124# wt because I had a mechanical flaw. I know others revised under 200# because their surgery had a flaw OR was not working. But you can't say that you can go to any doc for any reason and have a revision, nor can you set a rule that states NO doc will do a revision. Not much help, but at least it's not a door slammed shut in your friend's face, huh?
