Question:
I'm just got APPROVED for Plastic Surgery!! :o) :o)

Hello everyone! I just found out this afternoon that I was approved for the pannilectomy/abdominoplasty, only after appealing Aetna's initial denial! And my surgery is set for September 1st. I was wondering if any of you post-ops would mind giving me some advise on any and everything :) I would certainly love to hear it :) Thank you sooo much!! Rene`a Neptune Beach, FL Open Gastric Bypass 4/9/03 started at 322 and now am 180+/- from size 28/30 to a present 12/14 in pants/skirts and 3-4XL to a M/L in shirts.    — reneagemini (posted on August 8, 2005)

Reana, other than my WLS, the tummy tuck was an awesome surgery, one that shows results IMMEDIATELY. I never had much of a waist, had a huge bellybutton than hung down to my thighs, and fat, skin and who knows what else hanging everywhere. Since "day one" of the tummy tuck, I had a flat and sexy tummy, waist and bellybutton. I had mine in January, and today in August still look in the mirrow and wonder who is that in the mirror pretending to have the rest of my bodyl I LOVE IT. I am sure you will too. My arms are next, in September, and am thinking if I can swing a little facelift, that will be there too. Much luck to you. Missy (268/128, 22/4). LOVE THE WLS.

I had a belt lipectomy and outer thigh lift June 22. (belt lipectomy is where they go all the way around and pull up & down on the skin) I am still sore. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be (I thought I would wake up in bad pain but I didn't). But I also thought I would be over it by now (seven weeks tomorrow), but I am not. I am still sore and can't bend, stretch, lift, or do anything strenuous. And it is still numb about 1 inch above and below the insision & feels weird, and now the doctor tells me I may never get feeling back. Make sure you wear the "girdle" it will help hold you together, I felt naked without it at first, like my bottom half was going to fall in the floor.

Hi Renea, I had my tummy tuck and upper thigh sculpting on June 14. It's 8 weeks today and I'm still uncomfortable. BUT, I love the results. Because of a hygiene issue, I opted to NOT have a belly button anymore. The body incision goes all around me. The lower front feels like someone kicked me by evening. It's VERY tight. I had RNY lap procedure done on June 3, 2004, I've lost 115 pounds. I never thought I'd ever hear 'You're too skinny!" I love hearing that. I went from 2X to small tops and size 8 pants. The surgeon asked me if I knew there was a little person under all that fat!. Good luck with your procedure. kathy

Is anyone willing to show some before and after photos of your plastic surgery? I'm wanting to have belt lipectomy done maybe Nov. sometime. You can email me privately. Thanks

Would you be willing to share the letter you used to appeal the denial of your PS. I was approved for hernia repair but not the pannilectomy/abdominoplasty. If you would my email is [email protected]
