Question:
Post op 3month Lap RNY 4/13/05
At almost my three month anniversary I noticed a numbness, in the front half of my body, from my incision area just down passed my knees, I figured it to be vitamins, but I am taking the two chewables, calcium, and getting a B12 monthly, I have really started to exercise more, could this be it? What else could it be? Anyone..... — dolpinette (posted on July 20, 2005)

Numbness is never a good sign of anything. Please get in to see either
your PCP or surgeon and ask to have your blood checked. You never know.
I've heard too much lately about people having problems because of
malabsorption of their vitamins even though they thought they were
adequately supplementing.

Numbness is completely normal - they cut though tiny blood vessels and that
is the reason ... and f course they are cutting through your skin
