Question:
Anyone experience extreme leg tightness and foot pain?
I am 3 months post-op and I walk everyday like I was advised. However, I am experiencing some serious foot pain. It feels like needles in my toes but my feet are not numb and my thighs and calfs are very tight. I have no clue what is going on. — Tiff's On a Mission (posted on April 29, 2005)

I used to get cramps in my calves. It was determined to be from low
potassium. Eating bananas helped. I am not sure that your problem is
related, though. Good luck!!

Tiffany,
I have had the same problem but mine is related to neuropathy from being a
diabetic for so long, and yes vitamin defiency can cause simliar symptoms
so I would get some blood work done your PCP can do it for you. I notice
you live in Corpus we have support groups in Corpus if you are ever
interested in meeting others....Nancy

Go get it checked out by your doctor ASAP. The needles and tightness in
your feet sound like it is possibly nerve or circulation related. The
sooner it gets treated, the better of a chance you have at it going away.
Good luck.

If you were diabetic before wls then it is likely neuropathy. I have the
tingling in the hands and feet are worse at night. The tightness and such
also. I have RA and the meds I take give me side affects that are similar
and I was told by my dr that taking my vitamins and calcium is a must to
deture this from happening if it is not neuropathy from being diabetic.

I am not post-op yet, however get this checked out it might be minor, or it
could be as serious as a blood clot.
