Charles, Do you mean, if you have a health care savings account (pre-tax dollars) through your employer, can you use those dollars towards surgery costs? If so, the answer would be: depends on the rules of your plan. My husband's plan DID allow for his surgical costs to be covered by our health care savings account. My husband's account has a rule that anything that would be covered for a tax deduction would qualify. However, another friend's account didn't cover. Her account has more stringent guidelines, so she used her 401K account for a medical deduction, which she was able to take as pre-tax dollars, as well. Hope that helps. Blessings, dina
