11/04 Any current Dr. would be apperciated
I'm in Northern CA and I am in need of a Dr. I just found out that UC Davis and most Dr no longer accept Medi-Cal. Gggrrr!! HELP! — Loretta N. (posted on November 17, 2004)

you could try giving med-cal a call and see if they can give you a list of
providers, you could also try contacting the American Society of Bariatric
Surgeons (I think that is what it is called) and see if they could help
giving you a referral. I wish you luck in your journey, do not give up, it
can happen.

Dr. Keshishian in Delano (north of Bakersfield) accepts Medicare and he

You might try Mary Estakhri M.D., she is in Pleasanton, an outstanding
surgeon. Her number is 925-460-9000. The website for her bariatric
practice is www.4-anewyou.com and there might be insurance info. there, I
can't remember. I had a Medicare HMO at the time of my Gastric Bypass but
18 months later I had to have surgery for a bowel obstruction and only had
Medi-Cal/Medicare. Dr. Estakhri did both of my surgeries. Feel free to
