Question:
Silk Milk vs. Carb Countdown Milk
Hey Guys, I recently purchased Regular Flavor Silk Milk and Vanilla flavored Silk milk to use in my decaf coffee. The regular flavor tasted pretty darn nasty alone and putting it in coffee was even worse. I liked the vanilla flavored alone but it coffee it was G-R-O-S-S! I mean YUCKO! In an ongoing effort to eat healthier I thought I might try the Carb Countdown Milk but if it's as gross as the Silk Milk I don't want to. I limit myself when it comes to milk so I don't want it to taste terrible when I allow myself to have it. Has anyone tried both? What's your opinion? Maybe I'm just too picky! I didn't enjoy SILK much at all, but MMM, Carb Countdown is YUMMY. I buy
the chocolate. Haven't tried the "plain kind", but chocolate is
VERY creamy, and great for protein. I'm not a huge breakfast eater, so
this works well.

There is a great difference between Silk and Carb Countdown. Silk is
soymilk, Carb Countdown is not. Carb Countdown tastes like regular whole
milk - SUPER protein at 12 grams per cup and 3 gr of carbs. I buy it two
cartons at a time since I use it for cereal and shakes. It really is
great!

I did not care for soy milk. i tried it vanilla flavored and unflavored.
As far as Carb Countdown. Yummy. I get the 2% at Wallmart.under 3$ for a
half gallon. It is so rich and thick. Also it is ultra homoginized and
lasts 6 weeks. I accidentally left mine on the counter all night. I just
KNEW I would have sour milk this morning. Nope it was fine, and it was
fine tonight. The new 1/2 gallon I bought tonight expires August 14.

Hiya, I don't drink milk soy or carb countdown but....In my coffee I LOVE
vanilla soy slender. It doesn't have the sugar that the SILK has and no
lactose to bother me like in carb countdown. It's a matter of personal
preference but...if you're looking for something yummy and lo cal to put in
your coffee...give soy slender a try...It's available at Wal-Mart in the
same aisle/shelf as the other soy milks that don't need refidgeration.
Good luck (((hugs))) and smiles =)))

Just to add to Connie's comment. The chocolate, although has a long shelf
life, says to use within 7 days of opening. :-). But once it's open, it
doesn't last that long anyway. LOL.

Original poster here! I got the Carb Countdown - made my coffee and can I
just say.........HEAVEN!!! I'm not going to try the chocolate because
chocolate milk is a trigger for me and basically I limit milk alot anyway.
So I'm am thrilled and delighted with my delicious cup of coffee this a.m.
Thanks for all the suggestions!!

I dont know about the 'silk' what little soy Ive tried tasted nasty. Carbo
is HIGH in protein (more than regular milk and Higher in Calicum protein =
12 and calicum 35% I recommend it to ALL POSTs. It also tasts 'normal' and
if you are lactose In. it doesnt bother you.. I also serve it to my family
they dont know the difference.!!
