Question:
I'm now just over 13months out & I haven't lost any weight in over a month..
does this mean I am finshed? I started at 5'4 @ 263 and I am now 145. I usually work out at the gym 3 days a week & I watch what I eat but of course I do sometimes eat things I shouldn't. I am very happy with my body weight for the most part. It would be nice to lose another 5 to 10 pounds but if I didn't I would be happy. I would just like to start building some up some NICE cloths that cost alittle more than what I've been buying. I just don't want to waste money on buying nicer cloths then I drop another 5 to 10 pounds. I'm starting to ramble here...sorry... :) I guess my question is Do ya'll think I'm finshed????? — Beth G. I am only 8.5 months post op so I can't say if you're done or not. You've
done fabulously though so let me be the first to offer you a big ole
congrats!!! My loss has slowed down so much that it seems that it isn't
moving at all. I have upped my exercise a lot so could be muscle, but I've
also been hungrier too. Could you please tell me what your average monthly
weight loss was at my stage? I am 13 lbs away from my personal goal, and
I need encouragement too. God bless you and many hugs!

Hi, Beth. I'm in the same boat as you. I think I AM DONE.. and also have no
problem with it. I started at 349...at 12 months I was 180. I absolutely
have not lost (or gained) a single pound in the last 4 months!! Maybe that
"last 5-10 lbs" is something we women have been conditioned to
worry about? CONGRATS and good luck.

I wouldn't buy a new wardrobe until you've maintained for at least 3 months
in a row.

You may be done except for a few pounds here and there. I thought I was
done at 13 months too, and then in month 15 and 16 (thereabouts) I dropped
4 more but then that was it! If you want to lose more, no secret, you have
to eat less calories, and/or up the exercise from 3 times a week to 4. And
is the exercise heart pumping cardio? Thats the only type that burns the
calories. But consider this-are you happy with what you eat now? Because
if you lose another 5-10, in order to maintain that you will have to eat
less calories per day than you can now at 145 pounds. I'm an inch shorter
than you and a few pounds heavier, and enjoy food too much to lose another
10 and have to maintain it.

I thought I was done between 10 and 11 months out and now at over a year
out I have just gone back to all protein and dropped another 9 pounds with
very little effort other than staying away from the carbs. I would say that
you are done if you want to be but that last ten can come off with some
effort. I am now 3 pounds away from my original goal and more hell bent
than ever on getting there. I am beginning to think that if we stick to the
rules that there is no real end to the weight loss within reason. I can
also tell you that this last nine pounds has made my pants loose. I am
having my tummy done at the end of the month so I will wear them until then
but I will have to invest yet again. Gee what a bummer!!!! Just kidding, I
can't wait. A year ago it was whatever I could squeeze into. Things change
so quickly around here.
