Question:
Has anyone tried to follow the Suzanne Somers Somersize program? I
I am particularly interested in the food items she sells on the Home Shopping Network. She emphasizes no white flour and no sugar. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you Connie — Connie B. (posted on January 20, 2004)

Hi Connie, I ordered Suzannes protein bars when they were the Todays
Special over this last weekend but I have not received them yet...I have
heard that her products are very good..made with pretty healthy

I watched Suzanne on HSN too. I ordered the pressure cooker and meat rubs
and can't wait to try them. Her products must taste good but what is great
is that if you don't like anything you can send it back for a refund. I
wonder what her sugar substitute is made from. They leave out a lot of
details.

I've read her books and used her diet plan. It really does work and is a
lot less restrictive than the Atkins diet although it is similar. The
sugar substitute that she endorses in the books is called Stevia. It is
made from the leaves of the South American plant by the same name. It does
not taste like sugar but it is sweet.
I can highly recommend her diet plan.

I like her products... although they tend to be a bit high priced. Check

Her sweetener, Somersweet, is acesulfame K, which has been around since the
late 60's. You can also find this sweetener under the brand Sweet One (
http://www.sweetone.com/ ) Some compaines like to mix ace k with aspartame
(equal) like in Pepsi one, SF Kool-Aid,
