Question:
Comments on my weight loss , foods etc.
I am now 44 days post-op & on my 2nd visit 42 and had to weight myself for the nutritionist I am down 48 pounds - I was surprised because with a thyroid dysfunction I expected to lose a lot slower. It appears I am averaging 1 pound a day. I follow a (pureed or finely chopped) protein food intake with some carbs - and have adjusted to ending my carb intake by 5 PM each day - However, if I want a snack I have 6 grapes or 1 apple. But for the most part I drink water. Pre-op I had 6-7 liters of water a day - I can only manage 1 liter and I AM ALWAYS THRISTY for MORE WATER. I get some of my calcium from Yoplait Light & Fluffy yogurt - the best yogurt I've ever had - key lime is just one of my favorites; along with 600 Caltrate plus. I am not complaining about losing slow - because last year this time I was gaining! Thanks for listening all - and I love these posting - everyone is so informative and kind enough to share even the most intimate and embrassing details. — Anna M. (posted on January 14, 2004)
