Question:
Has anyone had wls and have trigeminal neuralgia?
Have wls w/ TN? Any complications w/ surgery? Did DR. deny you because of this condition? Did TN return after wls surgery? Any sugestions to deal with wls and TN? (Trigeminal Neuralgia is a Facial pain disorder. TN) — deborah A. (posted on November 17, 2003)

Hi, I am glad you asked this question...I too have TN. I am pre-op, still
waiting on insurance approval and I've been worrying about how I will cope
with TN after RNY, especially with all the chewing I'll have to do. Thank
goodness I haven't had any 'zaps' all day long!
Good luck to you, Marissa

I hat gastric bypass 12 years ago. Now I have Trigeminal Neuralgia type 2.
It feels like the worst toothache you ever had! It is constant pain EVERY
SINGLE DAY! I'm still trying to fine the right medications for my constant
pain. Also there seems to be a problem with the absorption of the
medications. Is there anyone out here that has TN or ATN Too? What meds do
you take now??
