Question:
Any remarks about Vista Vitamins or Isotonic
I have been interested in the liquid Isotonic vitamins and now curious about the chewable Vista Vitamins, but I went to my dietician pre-op appt. today and they recommend childrens chewables. They feel these others are just money makers. Anybody have any experience with these or others? — Diane S. (posted on October 23, 2003)

I had a bad experience with Isotonix... made me lightheaded, nauseated,
hyperactive. I just used the children's chewables from Sam's Club. Much
cheaper. I was not exactly crazy about the cult-like meetings they had for
the Isotonix stuff either. Just my two cents on that.

I received a free sample of chewable Vista Vitamins and tried one today.
Citrus Punch flavored. Sick! Gross! Made me want to hurl! AND, the label
recommends you take FIVE a day. No thanks. They were really nasty!!
Thank goodness they were free, I would have hated wasting my hard earned
money on them! lol

I love the "Isotonix" brand! Extreme high absorption within 5
minutes is definitely the way to go. I've been taking them for 7 years and
would NOT consider any other brand of vitamin since finding them!! With
that said, I HIGHLY recommend you give them a try. I feel
"Isotonix" are not over priced considering the body absorbs
around 90% of the product compared to around 20% with most tablets. I'll
take "Isotonix" for life because I just feel so much better when
I take this brand. Open RNY 6-26-03 (-72 lbs)

For multivitamins, I use adult Centrum chewables; for calcium, I use
vitalady's Calcium Citrate capsules with Vitamin D and magnesium; for iron,
I use prescription Trinsicon (iron/intrinsic factor supplement), taken with
Vitamin C to enhance absorption of the iron; and for B-12, I use TwinLabs
B-12 sublinguals. I'm only 17 months out, but so far, my labs are fine and
my bone density scans have been good. I've never used those products you
mentioned, but I have noticed they are a lot more expensive than regular
vitamins. To each his/her own.
