Question:
I am one month post-op and I feel like I'm eating alot. Is that normal?
My recovery period has been going so well. No nausea. No vomitting. I just notice that I can eat a little more than I could before. I usually stop myself like I did at the very beginning so I'm not sure how much I can actually take. But to feel like you can consume more so early on, is this normal? — Lissa M. I'm the same way... I think it's perfectly normal.. I was measuring my
food by oz's, but then I read where some people measure by measuring cups..
So I started to do that instead.. I now eat 1/2 cup at a time (4-5 meals a
day) sometimes a little more.. I never eat more than 1,000 calories a day..
But usually it's between 800-900... I think your stomach just needs a
little more time to heal and get use to everything cause now that I am
7wks, I get the full feeling all the time now, where as before I wasn't
full or hungry...

You will notice as the months pass that you can eat more and more food.
The denser the consistency the less you will eat. This is normal. We
cannot continue to eat just a few ounces per meal and achieve a healthy
body weight. Just a few hundred calories a day in the beginning and 1000
or more after 8 months.
