I have not heard of him, but since he is part of the USC team he should be OK. HOWEVER: Teh head of the bariatric dept., Dr Anthone (who is leaving USC), has been experimenting with a longer common channel, 200+ cm, on people with lower BMI (standard length is 50-100cm). This does not sound very good to most of us in the DS community! There have been some people who've unknowingly gotten long channels (from other surgeons) and not lost much weight, so you can understand our concern. A good information resource is duodenalswitch.com; there's a message board where you can ask questions and a list of all DS surgeons in CA and elsewhere.
