Call your surgeon - now! It's my understanding that shortness of breath
this early out CAN be a sign of an embolism and this is nothing to dally
with. Good luck!

When approving this post I immediately e mailed him to call his surgeon or
go to the ER without delay. It could be life threatening. I hope we hear
soon how he is doing.

When my Mom was short of breath it was a blood clot. Don't wait! Don't wait
to get a call through to your surgeon....
Go to an Emergency Room STAT! Even if you feel better now.

Yes Please contact your Surgeon. After going thru two procedures LAP and
then OPEN RNY. I was dismissed from the hospital 5 days later. That
evening I started getting short of breath and thought I could handle it.
Well at 3:00am I had to call 911 because I was really laboring to breath.
My feet and legs were swollen too. In the ER they too x-rays and found
fluid around my lungs and pneumonia. I ended up with a PE and spent the 3
weeks in the hospital.
Best of luck too you!
