Question:
HOW MUCH WEIGHT LOSS IS EXPECTED FOR MY STATS?

Hello, I am 5feet 6inches and weigh about 260 with a bmi of 40. Anyone with similar stats, what was the average rate of weight loss for those stats. I know it is hard to predict, but was just curios. I would appreciate any info. given.    — Tanya F. (posted on July 25, 2003)

This site has a weight loss predictor. Go to the Gallery section, then scroll down the left side to Fun Things To Do, and click on Weight Loss Planner. It will estimate a possible weight loss by month for you.

I am close to your states, I am 5'6 and weight was 289. I lost the frist 110 pounds with in the frist year, and the remainder by 15 mos. I am now two years out and weigh 145. I could have lost more, but increased by intake so I would not loss anymore weight. I am very happy at 145 and do not wish to lose anymore weight. I think you really have to see where you are and what you are comfortable with, in my case It's where I am at. Good Luck

I'm 5'7" and started at 259. I'm 3 months 3 weeks post-op and down 68.5 pounds. Hope that helps! Amazing journey.
