Will having had a tubal ligation complicate WLS?
After the birth of my son, I had my tubes tied. Could this cause any complication with my WLS? — Tanya F. (posted on June 27, 2003)

I had 2 emergency C-sections and a Tubal ligation (3 separate surgeries).
None of these caused any problems with having a Lap RNY.

I had 2 C-sections and with my last C-section in 1997 I also had my tubes
tied. It caused no problems with my Rny last year. I even had my Rny done
laproscopically. Take care

Curious to know what would make you think one would/could affect the other-

Sometimes previous scar tissue can cause problem for lap surgery. I had a
tubal and my gall bladder removed (hugh scar) and was able to have lap no
problem

I had my tubes tied and my gallbladder removed a year before my open rny
and not one word was ever said about it and I did not have any problems.
Good luck:o)
