Your first step is to find a PCP. You may be surprised more and more
doctors are more knowledgeable and supportive about WLS. That is your
first step. Esplain your struggle in order to begin documentation. Then
ask for a referral to WLS surgeon. If the PCP is not willing to refer you,
move on to the next. Do not give up, and continue on and persevere. Do not
give up. Go for what you want, and get it!

Hi, William. Your insurance company may have a list of pcp's on line, try
that. Also, do you have an idea of a few surgeon's you'll be considering
for the WLS? If so, maybe you could call those doctor's offices and ask
them if they could refer you to a pcp who they have worked with in the
past... I hope this is helpful to you. Lots of luck. It's worth every
second spent getting the surgery.
