Question:
Tummy tuck scheduled May 16, 2003- How can I prepare?

What do I need to do to be prepared? My Doctor said over night stay. Will be out of work for four weeks. But can go and sit at my desk for half days maybe I am a food service manager fo a summer camp.    — christine G. (posted on May 9, 2003)

To prepare; the only thing you might consider having at home is 1) a recliner and 2) a box of 'long' heavy regular (not mini/or thin) MAXI pads. 3) box of alchol swabs. You MOST likly will be coming home with 'drains'. I had one on each hip. One stayed in place for 2 weeks; the other for the full 4 weeks. I have a desk job and would NOT have wanted to go back to work even part time the first 3 weeks. If you went back then, you would have one drain in, I would have worried about it acciently getting 'pulled' and if your at a 'camp' I would think 'kids' double jeapordy. I went back at 4. DIdnt have any trouble at all.
