I had LAP RNY on 9/17/02 and have lost 100 lbs to date. I just recently
broke a near 4 week plateau. I think they are just normal and we are way
to hard on ourselves when they happen. Our bodies have to catch up with
themselves. Don't worry, you'll start losing again. If you want to speed
that up increase your protein and water intake and try to exercise more.
You're doing great ;) Take care

I also had surgery 9-19-02, and have lost 82lbs, and been on a plateau for
over a month. It is a very hard time for me, but I keep reading everyone
goes through this, so that makes me feel better. Good luck!

Hi all. It looks to me that you all started about where I did (I was 260)
..?? right? I ask because I had a September surgery and plateaued at 7-8
months postop (February/March) also. I upped my protein and diminished my
carbs, added protein supplements back in to my program, and increased my
exercise. I thought I was done losing (at 175 pounds, which was a size 12
for me.) I started losing again in April and went on to lose 50 more
pounds! After my loss started up again it seemed like it just fell off. I
was amazed. hugs, Ann rny 9/10/99 260/124
