I would like to know if anyone took metabolife to lose weight before surgery

There have been people that have died while taking Metabolite and Metabolife. Read about it on this website http://www.ephedrine-ephedra.com/ I've found pre-op that taking diet drugs worked for a short time, but then I'd gain back all the weight plus more. Be very careful, most of them contain high amounts of caffeine, ephedrine, dexadrine, etc... Chemicals that aren't healthy for us. The best way to lose the weight is still just eating healthier, high protein, low carbs, no sugar. I was on LA Weightloss before having surgery and lost 30 lbs quickly. I had gained 20 of it back because I quit and then later had surgery. It's all in control which I didn't have much of. Good luck to you. Melisa 08/15/02 -82lbs

I bought some and thought i'd try it out to see if it would work. At the same time I was taking a class called Health for Living at the university. When we got to the weight loss section of the class the instructor asked if anyone had tried either of these two products. He went on to say that these products are not regulated by the FDA, and both can raise blood pressure to critical levels. This is especially serious if you already have high blood pressure. (which I did) Needless to say I flushed the entire bottle down the toilet.
