I had open RNY can this surgery affect your liver?

My liver tests are all high . The surgeon said if it goes to high I will have to have a biopsy. I am three months post op and my liver tests were normal before I had surgery.    — Paulette G. (posted on March 7, 2003)

From the research on this site, yes, it can effect your liver. But, a lot of people have posted that their liver tests were high right after surgery then settled back down. Good luck
